New Rock Shops!

Have you been wondering what was happening with the shop at HCC, or perhaps you haven’t been down to the centre for a while? Well, either way, we have now opened our very own climbing shop, the Harrogate Climbing Centre Rock Shop! A reason in itself to visit HCC, our new store carries the key items you need for all types of climbing and bouldering, at a price that will keep you smiling, knowing you have got a great deal. We will be offering the best value equipment, climbing clothing, guidebooks and literature we can find, and offer our members a discount to boot!

The new Rock Shop opened on Wednesday and we are already offering some great deals on brands such as DMM, Black Diamond, prAna, Evolv, Scarpa, Boreal, Petzl and many more! We have some great 50% discount offers on Mountain Equipment tops including the Cabrera Jacket and Arrow Zip T at £45! Our great supplier network also means that if you need something that isn’t in stock, we can order it in for you in time for your next visit!

Setting at HCC

We have been really busy at Harrogate Climbing Centre over the last two weeks, setting even more new routes than normal.

Our route setting team have reset over twenty five new routes in the last fortnight, on both top-rope and lead lines. Our normal route-setting team including Andy Graham and British Lead Climbing Champion Dave Barrans have been joined by TeamGB member James Garden to add some variety to the routes on offer at HCC.

Many of the lead lines were set for the BMC Youth Climbing Series Yorkshire final which was held at Harrogate Climbing Centre on the 21st of April. Come and try the routes, and see how you climb compared to the county’s strongest youth climbers!
