Harrogate Climbing Centre runs regular kids clubs. We are Yorkshire’s premier climbing centre and specialise in activities for children and teenagers of all abilities.
The kids’ club sessions introduce children to the basics of climbing indoors and can lead to development as far as international competition through tuition provided by our fully qualified and friendly staff, which include world-cup standard athletes.
Climbing is a great activity for children. It is very effective in developing balance, co-ordination and a sense of adventure. Our state of the art climbing centre provides the perfect environment for children to experience and develop their rock climbing in the safest and most enjoyable way possible.
The kids clubs at Harrogate Climbing Centre are divided into age related groups each with their own designated instructors, and tailor activities to suit:
Little Monkeys Climbing Club – Ages 5 & 6
Rock-Its Climbing Club – Ages 7 to 10
Hang Time Climbing Club- Ages 11 to 17
Harrogate Climbing Centre kids’ clubs are separated into casual and block sessions. Our block sessions allow climbers to work towards NICAS qualifications, a nationally recognised acreditation, in a fun environment. Our casual sessions are aimed at kids that can’t commit to a set number of weeks but still want to experience the fun and challenge of climbing.

Cost
Little Monkey sessions are £8 per head. All other sessions are £11 per head, per session. Block bookings of six sessions are available at £60. All sessions must be booked and paid for in advance.
Rock-Its NICAS sessions and Hang-Time NICAS 4 & 5 sessions must be booked in six week blocks, on the same night each week. Blocks begin at the beginning of each school term.
The next available slots for booking a 6 week block on Rock Its NICAS 1, 2&3 and Hang Time 4&5 are:
