Learn to Lead

Picture7Want to try something a bit more adventurous? If you are happy with your indoor top-roping skills, the next level is learning to lead confidently and safely.

This course will cover the basics of :

*clipping safely

*lead belaying

*and developing climbing technique….

to allow you to get onto the big walls!

To go on this course, you must be proficient at top rope belaying and tying into your harness. We recommend that you are climbing 6a or above before taking this course.

Under 18’s may take this course alongside an adult climber, but will need to go through Yellow Card training before lead climbing unsupervised. Yellow Cards are available to 14-17 year olds only.

Fo this course to run we need a minimum of two climbers, which will be run over 2 hours.  The maximum is 3, which will be run over 3 hours. Price: £40.00 per person

A New Entrance

Work has begun on our new entrance porch. It will be ready in three weeks, but in the meantime, the entrance to HCC has moved around the corner, through the Indulge Cafe.

Bank Holiday Opening

We will be open for climbing as normal this bank holiday.
Our hours are:
Saturday 10am – 8pm
Sunday 10am – 6pm
Monday 10am – 10pm (peak time all day)
