Outdoor Booking: Terms and Conditions
1. Participants
1.1 Outdoor courses are only open to persons aged 14 or over, unless otherwise specified
1.2 Participants must be competent to the level described in the details of the course in question.
1.3 Participants must arrive adequately prepared for a day spent outdoors (e.g. sufficient clothing, food, etc.)
1.4 Course fees do not include transport or food.
2. Fees
2.1 On booking the courses a 50% deposit must be taken to confirm your place on the course.
2.2 The final balance of the course must be paid 2 weeks prior to the course starting. If this is not paid this could jeopardise your position on the course.
3. Rearrangement of course type or course dates by the customer
3.1 A customer may apply to change the course date or type, as long as this is carried out 4 weeks or more before the original course date.
3.2 Any requests to change the details of a course within 4 weeks of the original course date are subject to the loss of 50% of the total course fee, at the discretion of Harrogate Climbing Centre management.
4 Cancellation by the Customer
4.1 When the full fee has been paid, the maximum refund available is 50%.
4.2 If a course is cancelled more than 4 weeks prior to the original date of the course, 50% of the total fee is refundable.
4.3 If a course is cancelled less than 4 weeks prior to the original date of the course, no costs are refundable.
5 Cancellation by the Company
5.1 We endeavour to ensure all courses will actually run, however in the event of cancellation, HCC will notify the customer as soon as possible.
5.2 In the event of cancellation due to customer cancellation or lack of participant numbers, we will give a minimum of 1 weeks notice, where possible.
5.3 In the event of cancellation due to external factors which would make the activity unsafe or unsuitable, we will contact the client as soon as possible. HCC cannot refund any transport costs incurred prior to cancellation.
5.4 The course will only be cancelled due to weather at the instructor’s discretion. Do not assume it will be automatically cancelled if it is raining.
5.5 In the event of cancellation by HCC, we will offer the following options:
5.5.1 Full refund of the fee paid
5.5.2 Another booking on a different date.
